**Cancellations**
Memberships at Alibi BJJ Academy are managed via direct debit with no long-term contracts. All we ask is for **one paid month’s notice** on cancellations, sent by email. Simple and straightforward!
**Membership Freeze Policy**
We know life can get hectic — work commitments, travel plans, or just needing a break from training. That’s why every member at Alibi BJJ Academy is entitled to **one membership freeze per year**.
**What’s included:**
* One calendar month freeze per membership year (January–December)
* No payments taken during the freeze period
* Your current membership rate stays the same
* No rejoining fees when you return
* Membership automatically resumes the following month
* Freeze requests must be made at least **14 days before your next payment date**
Freezes apply to full calendar months only (no partial months or weeks)
Additional Freeze Periods:
If you wish to freeze your membership for longer than one month, a **£20 freezing fee** will be applied for each additional month for adults, and a **£15 freezing fee** for each additional month for children.
**Injury Freeze Policy**
If you have an injury expected to take longer than one month to heal, you may request an extended freeze by providing a **doctor’s note**.
* Injury freeze requests must be submitted at least **5 days before your next payment date**.
* No payments will be taken during the approved injury freeze period.
* Membership will resume once you’re cleared by your doctor or after the agreed freeze period.
**Important Notes:**
Your freeze does **not** replace or count towards your 1-month cancellation notice. If you decide to cancel, you’ll still need to provide the standard **one full month of paid notice after your freeze ends**.
This freeze is here to give a flexibility — not as a way to bypass the cancellation notice.
Explaination : What Does One Full Month of Paid Notice Mean?
If you give your cancellation notice on November 2nd, but your next payment date is November 15th, (13 days notice) here’s what happens:
Since your next payment is on Nov 15th, and you gave not full one month notice before that date, your November 15th payment will still be taken.
This payment covers your membership from November to December 15th .
Your membership will officially end on December 14th — one full paid month after your cancellation notice.
But, if you give your cancellation notice on your payment day (Nov 15th) or within two days after, no more payments will be taken AFTER that, and your membership will end on December 14th.
And remember: You can keep using you r membership normally until the day your membership ends.
Changes to Membership Fees: We reserve the right to change policy or membership fees. If there is an increase, you will be notified in advance, and the new fee will apply from the next arranged deduction.
